Safety Achievement Recognised

Anderson Mine Services have been an integral part of the operation of BMA Coal Broadmeadow Mine for over 5 years completing ventilation and general outbye works supporting the coal production process. A major milestone was recently achieved by the Broadmeadow Mine Anderson employees where they achieved 4 years lost time injury free days.
Anderson Mine Services 17 full time Broadmeadow Mine employees were recognised for their safety achievement by both Anderson Mine Services and Broadmeadow senior management and were presented with a safety certificate and gift for this milestone achievement.
In attendance were:

- Evelyn Clinton (OHS/Training Manager) Anderson Mine Services
- Dave Lavender (Site Manager – Broadmeadow Mine) Anderson Mine Services
The management personnel all highlighted the importance of this major achievement and emphasized how proud they were to work with the Anderson Mine Service employees
Anderson Mine Services are proud to be associated with BMA Broadmeadow Mine and of collaboratively achieving this milestone and of its work in building and maintaining a safe workplace.
Our belief is "Safety First" and together with the BMA policy of Zero Harm this achievement has been realised. Professionalism, training and team work provide the foundation for achieving this outstanding safety record in the underground mining Industry in Queensland.
In addition to this presentation, a BMA Broadmeadow Safety Presentation was made to Andy Mellish (Safety Training Advisor – Anderson Mine Services).
Andy Mellish was presented with the HOOKS Award. (Helping Our Operation Keep Safe) for the month of February 2010. Andy received a certificate and a gift from Garry Morrissy, HSE Manager BMA Broadmeadow Mine.
