[Full-time] Sales Manager at Maintenance QLD

Diversified Mining Services (DMS) is an unlisted public company with operations throughout NSW & QLD. With over 700 employees DMS provides products, maintenance services and operational support to underground and surface mines making them a leading provider to the industry.

This position will work with the Regional Sales Team to optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction primarily the Bowen and Galilee Basins, frequent short trips to NSW and other districts in QLD will also be required. The role also requires the successful incumbent to drive to different client locations which may require up to 8 hours driving each day.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and maintenance of a Sales Management System (SMS) in consultation with the Regional Sales Manager
Make recommendations on the structure and format of a Customer Data Base (yet to be implemented)
Plan and prioritise sales activities and customer/prospect contact
Achieve agreed business revenue targets
Take a lead role the preparation of all pricing – this will include tender document review for some projects which will require interaction with the company legal/contract administration team
Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timeframes.
Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
Build strong and lasting relationship with key clients in the Region
Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal company meetings when required

This role will also require travel to Head Office in Toowong to consult on legal matters and participate in contract review teams, they must also work directly with customers and the DMS team to quickly resolve service and product challenges.

The role will require frequent interaction with clients in a social setting. As such, the incumbent must be prepared to attend social functions out of normal business hours and must also represent DMS in a professional manner at all times.

Tertiary qualification in an associated discipline with a minimum of 5 years relevant industry and leadership experience is preferred. The successful applicant will also be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and will have excellent verbal and written communications as well as sound numeracy skills.

Required for this position:

*Trade Qualified Boilermaker *Cert 10 in supervision is desirable. *Proven team leadership skills in a manufacturing environment. *Previous workshop leading hand / supervision and in particular supervision a workforce of at least 10-15 tradesmen required. *Ability to read blueprints / drawings. *Previous experience in QA systems. *Strong WH&S ethic.

We are currently looking for an experienced Estimator to join our Maintenance team, based in Mackay. Working closely with the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for all estimating, tender preparation, quoting and pricing for the Queensland Maintenance Region.

Specifically, your main duties will include:

Preparing quotes and pricing using set company methodologies
Responding to customer requests for quotations in a timely and professional manner
Working with operational staff to ensure budget job margins are realised
